GJCOST is organizing/financially assisting to the universities/Institutions/CSC's to organise Science & Technology related  Seminars/ Symposia/ Workshop/ Training programmes for creating awareness in the emerging areas of Science and technology.

 

Guideline for funding for organized Seminars/ Symposia/ Workshop/ Training programme.

• Seminars / Symposia / Workshop / Training programmes etc. conceived planned and organized by other professional bodies / organization for which financial assistance is given by the 'GUJCOST'.

• Minimum numbers of participants : 30.

• Expenditure like lunch and tea, stationary, printed material, auditorium and hall charges, banners, photography, contingency etc are eligible.

    »  Lunch/Dinner subject to maximum of Rs. 40/- per person/meal.

    »  Tea/Snakes subject to Rs. 15/- per person.

    »  Printed material / Pen / Folder etc. Rs. 40/- per participants.

    »  Banner / Photography / Advertisement subject to Rs. 2500/-.

    »  Inauguration and valedictory function, If necessary, expenditure must be

         subject to Rs. 2000/-.

    »  TA / DA If given to any Expert / Speaker it must be according to existing

         Government norms.

    »  Contingency subject to maximum 10% of total expenditure.

    »  Auditorium / Hall charges subject to Rs. 2000/- per day.

    »  Transportation requirement for industrial visit should be within Rs. 2000/-

         per Trip.

    »  Honorarium to experts 500/ hour or maximum Rs. 1000/- per day.

    »  TA to participants.

• Maximum number of day for the programme not exceeding 6 days.

• In all publication/banner/material words "Sponsored by GUJCOST" must appear.

• Any infrastructure like phone, hall, furniture, Audio-visuals, equipment, Computers etc of the institute if it is having must be utilized without any charge.

• Details of Co-sponsoring Agency if any and financial support.

• Applications for assistance in duplocate will normallu be submitted to the member Secretary, GUJCOST, Science & Technology Department, Gandhinagar, 30 days prior to the date if the programme.

• Detail regarding registration fee if any : 10.

• Subject to the availability of funds financial assistance will be sanctioned by the member Secretary, GUJCOST.

• Financial assistance shall b utilized within three months from the date of receipt or from the last day of the programme whichever is later. Change of venue and / or dares shall be reported to the member Secretary promptly.

• The whole or part of the grant-in-remain unutilized should be refunded to the GUJCOST at the earliest.

• Utilization certificate, audited statement of accounts, etc. brief report along with photographs (2/3 photos) shall be furnished to the GUJCOST within three month from the date of receipt or from the last day of the programme, Whichever is later. For professional non-government bodies, the accounts should be audited by chattered accountant.

• The proceedings, list of participants, papers presented, lecture notes, recommendation etc. of the programme and the other related publications, if any will also be forwarded in triplicate to the Member Secretary, GUJCOST within three months.

• In case of Sponsored programme, a representative of the GUCOST shall be nominate to the organizing committee and also for participation without payment of registration fees.

• The recipient organization shall comply with such other conditions as may be suggested in the guidelines which may be modified from time to time.

• Only those seminars / symposia / workshop / training programmes etc. which come under the thrust areas / specific topics of Sect oral committees of the GUJCOST are eligible for sponsorship. However, programmes which are in the declared priority sectors of the state government / Central Government shall also be sponsored.
